It's that time of year!
Auditions are right around the corner and I am sooo excited for the coming year! The play is still undecided, but I can barely contain myself until audition day! Our group is a good bunch of young adults they just make me want to always be with them.
Well, for you who just want details here it is;
Auditions will be held
Wednesday, January 9th, from 2-4pm
at the Covenant of Grace church in Edgewood.
If you are interested in coming, please go to the contact page and let us know you are coming.
We will have some more information about the play as soon as the director decides. But you all know that whatever it is you will love it. :D
PLEASE email if you have ANY questions! We are always a click or a phone call away!
See you soon!

In Which We end Our 4th Semester, and I Share a Video
It’s that very exciting time of the season where everything we have worked for is going to culminate to this one moment. The moment where you stand on stage, saying your lines, hoping that the audience will enjoy the performance- and then, throughout the show, bursts of laughter boost our spirits. The final line is said, a moment of silence follows, and then…. someone from the back begins clapping, then more join, until soon the whole room is filled with the sound. We stand there grinning from ear to ear, glad to know that our efforts and time have paid off. Then, it’s over. Like a whoosh of air that passes by. We pack up the props, take down the stage, and the magical moment has ended. However, there is still a smile on our lips as we remember that moment, and look forward to the ones in the future.
I have put together this little video for your enjoyment. Please view, leave a comment, and tell your friends about us! (I do apologize that not all of the Thespians were interviewed. Due to a few things, it just didn’t happen. However, I’m hoping to do it again next semester, if everyone enjoys it, so I’ll try to do better next time. =D) Also, just so y'all know, the clip of 'Daniel and Levi Live' was all ad-lib and spur of the moment. Daniel and Levi didn't even know we were going to do this, but I thought they did awesome with just improvising and going along with it!!
Looking forward to more drama, Sarah H.

"Play in Progress"
This seems to be our life lately......
This year we are doing a Melodrama- a dash of drama mixed with lots of humor (and don't forget the hero, heroine, and villains).
(Description of 'melodrama': a dramatic form that does not observe the laws of cause and effect and that exaggerates emotion and emphasizes plot or action at the expense of characterization. Or melodramatic behavior or events.)
We are in the middle of our Fundraiser (Check it out!) and although it isn't taking off as well as I would have liked, (does it ever?!) it is going pretty well. :) We are planning on some carpet for our stage and I do believe we will reach that. Hopefully.....
This year we changed things around and had some of our stage hands take on props completely. They have been doing a fabulous job with it all! I am glad I don't have to pay attention to that side of things come Performance days, trying to follow actors on stage alone is hard!
I love looking at all the Thespians and remembering our first play....they all did such a great job, but they have also come such a long, long way from what they were! It really is a joy to be a part of this, a part of them, a part of their lives. Of course, they get a good part out of all of it! (haha!)
I hope you can make it, believe me it will be a fun, enjoyable evening of fun for the whole family!!

And they're off!
Our next drama performance has been on our minds lately. Trying to pick out the play, wondering who will come back, who will be new. All of that prep work!
We do think we have a play in mind which looks really cute.....really, really cute! Pleading guilty to already thinking of who should play who could be a possibility. It's part of the job, right??
Until a play is decided and auditions start, you will find ussleeping on the job conserving our energy for the next play.
Be on the lookout for audition and performance dates!

Rebecca
